Welcome to ESMRN -
the European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Neuropediatrics
The ESMRN is a meeting place for clinicians (pediatric neurologists, neuropediatricians, neonatologists), neuroscientists, physicists and (neuro-)radiologists, who are actively engaged or interested in the improvement and application of Magnetic Resonance techniques including MR conventional and advanced imaging, MR spectroscopy, MR neurofunctional imaging, MR perfusion and diffusion weighted imaging, to better diagnose and better understand the pathophysiological background of neurological disorders in neonates, infants and children.
Every other year the elected officers of the ESMRN organize a 3-4 days meeting, usually in the hometown of the president where invited speakers and proffered papers from members and attendants familiarize the audience with state of the art information on new developments and new discoveries in all the fields covered by the Society.
The eight previous conferences have built a strong reputation for the ESMRN meetings, which are exceptionally well attended.
SWISS SYMPOSIUM on Pediatric Neuroradiology
In the years between the ESMRN scientific meetings, teaching courses on pediatric diagnostic neuroimaging (including non-MR techniques) are organized in St. Moritz, Switzerland. In the past, five such courses with teaching lessons and workshops on the pediatric brain, spine and head and neck have been successfully organized. Internationally well recognized experts in the field are the guarantee for its high scientific and didactic value.
Traditionally the Swiss Symposium takes place in St. Moritz during the months of January or early February embedded into a beautiful winter landscape. It lasts from Wednesday afternoon until Saturday noon, with extended noon breaks of more than 5 hours, thus, providing excellent opportunities for winter sports.
